-Mark Santangelo had a vision 17 years ago to extend extra services to Police and Firemen unions in the need of mortgage financing. Due to their extensive working hours and odd schedules, Mark felt they would require around the clock service available where and when their schedules allowed it. In the 1990's, Mark created the "UNITY MEMBER CENTER" in an effort to support those Unions. Since then we have expanded the program to other organizations throughout NJ, NY Pa. and now over 30 other states. Many other companies have attempted to emulate the program but according to many of our customers they still fall short.
Many companies encounter obstacles such as late payments or lost income that would render a borrower unqualified or require to much additional effort and time to try to qualify the loan which ultimately may generate a negative outcome anyway. At that point we realize the personal side of the file. The fireman or policeman who lost time at work due to an injury or the family that lost 1 income due to the economy and we invest the additional time, seek more information, and do everything possible to achieve a positive outcome.
